HEPA Vacuum Removes Mold From Subfloor
When a family was replacing their floors, they found a not-so-pleasant surprise hiding under their flooring: mold.
A SERVPRO of Black Hawk County technician came in with the HEPA vacuum to start the job. HEPA is an acronym for "High Efficiency Particulate Air." When the HEPA vacuum is being used, debris enters the unit and is contained and filtered through a five-stage filtration system including HEPA filter tested and certified at 99.97% efficient at 0.3 microns.
We acknowledge the seriousness in mold remediation, which is why our equipment comes from the best of the best at SERVPRO Corporate. The vacuum cleaner is designed so that all the air drawn into the machine is expelled through the HEPA filter with none of the air leaking past it.
The next step in the remediation process is to kill off any remnants of the mold using a SERVPRO decontamination product.
